지금까지 쿼리 성능에 대해서만 논의했지만 SQL은 쿼리에 관한 것만은 아닙니다. 데이터 조작도 지원합니다.

inert, delete 및 update라는 각 명령은 SQL 표준의 한 섹션인 "데이터 조작 언어"(DML)를 형성합니다.

이러한 명령의 성능은 대부분 Index의 부정적인 영향을 받습니다.

 

Index는 순수 이중화입니다. 테이블에도 저장된 데이터만 포함됩니다. 쓰기 작업 중에 데이터베이스는 이러한 중복성을 일관되게 유지해야 합니다. 특히, insert, delete 밒 update 는 테이블 뿐만 아니라 영향을 받는 데이터의 복사본을 보유하는 인덱스에도 영향을 미칩니다.
